Besides the FAST symptoms, other signs may also suggest a stroke:
- Sudden confusion: Having trouble understanding or speaking.
- Vision problems: Such as blurred, double vision, or loss of vision in one or both eyes.
- Severe headache: A sudden, intense headache, especially when accompanied by other symptoms.
- Dizziness or loss of balance: Difficulty walking, lack of coordination, or sudden falls.
- Numbness or weakness: Sudden weakness, particularly on one side of the body, including the face, arm, or leg.
Strokes can affect anyone. Although factors like age, high blood pressure, and lifestyle choices can increase the risk, strokes can occur at any time, even in younger and seemingly healthy individuals.
