Richard Gere Was Spotted Reveling in His New Low-Key Life in Spain

Richard Gere, one of the most popular actors in Hollywood and a globally recognized face known for movies like “Pretty Woman” and “Runaway Bride”, has shown in recent years that he’s not drawn to the glitz and glamour of Tinsel Town. Instead, he has other living plans.

The 75-year-old actor was spotted out and about in Madrid, Spain. He relocated to this sunny Spanish city with his family a year ago, including his wife, Alejandra Silva, and their sons, 5-year-old Alexander and 4-year-old James. Gere was dressed in a zipped-up black jacket, a gray hoodie, and gray jogger pants, with a white baseball cap covering his grey hair. He was seen visiting a store called GAES that specializes in hearing aids and audiology services.

Before the move, Gere sold off his $10.8 million mansion in Connecticut. His wife, Alejandra Silva, is a Spain native, which makes the move logical for the family. In an interview last month, they said, “We are happier than ever.” Gere explained that his wife is happy being at home and he’s happy as long as she is.
