People Are Astonished by a Small Detail in the Photo of Trump’s New Oval Office

As is customary, the Oval Office got a makeover to align with the incoming president’s preferences. On Inauguration Day, White House staff changed the rugs, drapes, and decor to reflect Trump’s taste.

The redesigned space combines historical portraits with personal touches. A portrait of George Washington now takes a prominent position above the fireplace, along with paintings of Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Alexander Hamilton.

Some elements from Trump’s first term have also come back. For instance, a bust of Winston Churchill is displayed near the fireplace, and the bust of Martin Luther King Jr., which both Trump and Biden had previously showcased, remains. Frederic Remington’s famous sculpture, The Bronco Buster, has returned as well and is placed beneath a portrait of Andrew Jackson.
