When it was time for the reception and Linda stood up to take the microphone for her planned speech, Tom intervened. He announced a special video tribute to Alexandra’s late mother. As the lights dimmed and the heartfelt montage of pictures, videos, and messages played, Alexandra and many of the guests were moved to tears. Linda, who had been looking forward to her moment of glory, was clearly taken aback.
But Tom wasn’t finished. After the tribute, he invited Linda to join him on stage, and she went up with a pleased smile, thinking she was about to get some recognition. However, Tom then played another slideshow that showed Linda sneaking into the bridal suite earlier that day, trying on Alexandra’s bridal veil, and playing with a bouquet. The room gasped in shock.
To add to the humiliation, Tom played an audio clip of Linda talking to a friend about how she planned to outshine the bride, saying, “This young princess must learn her place. I’ve waited long enough for my moment.” The audience reacted with surprise and some even booed her.
