Basal Cell Carcinoma
Basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer and typically presents as a shiny bump or lesion on sun-exposed areas, such as the nose. It might also resemble a scab that repeatedly heals and reopens.
Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Squamous cell carcinoma may manifest as a rough, scaly patch or a red, firm bump. Both types of skin cancer are highly treatable if detected early, but they can spread if neglected.
If you notice a persistent lesion or bump on your nose, particularly if it varies in size, shape, or color, make an immediate appointment with a dermatologist. Skin cancer is best managed when caught in its infancy.
