“I witnessed the plane approaching at a lower altitude than normal,” recounted Cho, a local resident. “There was a sudden, strange flash of light, and then a deafening bang. Almost immediately, smoke began billowing upwards, and I heard a series of explosions. It was truly horrifying.”
Yoo Jae-yong, another eyewitness staying near the airport, shared his perspective. “As the plane descended, I noticed a visible spark on the right wing. Instinctively, I knew something was amiss. Moments later, a colossal explosion ripped through the air.”
Kim Yong-cheol, who happened to be at the airport during the crash, recalled the ominous metallic scraping sounds that preceded the ear-splitting blast. “The sky filled with thick, black smoke, and it was glaringly obvious that a catastrophic event had occurred. The scene was utter chaos.”
