Zhu Zhongfa, a man from China, unknowingly ate undercooked pork that contained the eggs of the dangerous parasite Taenia solium. This led to weeks of seizures and fainting spells, throwing his life into chaos. After struggling with these symptoms, he sought medical help, and just a month after consuming the pork, doctors quickly diagnosed him with a severe tapeworm infection.
The tapeworms had spread throughout his body, settling in his brain, lungs, and other organs. The larvae had traveled through his bloodstream, causing widespread infection. Doctors confirmed that the source of his condition was the undercooked pork he ate.
