Blake Lively’s Legal Team Brands Justin Baldoni’s ‘Strategy’ Concerning the $400M Lawsuit as ‘Desperate’, Asserting ‘It Will Fail’

Baldoni, 40, is suing Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, their publicist Leslie Sloane, and Sloane’s PR firm Vision PR, Inc. The claims include civil extortion, defamation, false light invasion of privacy, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, intentional interference with contractual relations, intentional interference with prospective economic advantage, and negligent interference with prospective economic advantage. The attorneys for the actor-director of “It Ends with Us” filed the lawsuit on behalf of Baldoni, producer Jamey Heath, publicist Jennifer Abel, and crisis publicist Melissa Nathan.

Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, said in a statement, “This lawsuit is a legal action based on a significant amount of unaltered evidence that details Blake Lively and her team’s deceitful attempt to ruin Justin Baldoni, his team, and their respective companies by spreading heavily edited, unsubstantiated, newly created, and doctored information to the media. It’s clear from our full willingness to provide all complete text messages, emails, video footage, and other documentary evidence that was shared between the parties in real time that this is a battle she won’t win and will surely regret. Blake Lively was either seriously misled by her team or deliberately and knowingly misrepresented the truth.”
