Blake Lively’s legal team has reacted to Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against the actress, which stems from the contentious behind-the-scenes situation of their film “It Ends with Us”.
On Thursday, January 16, Baldoni, who is both the director and a star of the film, filed a defamation and extortion suit. In response, Lively’s legal team stated in a declaration, “This latest lawsuit from Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its associates is just another part of the abuser’s typical playbook.”
The statement went on, “It’s an age-old narrative: A woman comes forward with solid evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation, and then the abuser tries to flip the situation around and put the blame on the victim. This is what experts refer to as DARVO – Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender.”
