In the hospital room, the family doctor walked in with a solemn expression. “Stuart,” he said gravely, “I wish I had better news.”
Stuart tightened his grip on Angelina’s hand. “Just tell me straight, doc. How bad is it?”
The doctor’s words were like a death sentence. “You’ll never walk again.”
Stuart whispered in disbelief, “No, God, no, no, no… I have a company to run. A life to live!”
The doctor gently patted his shoulder, saying, “I’m sorry, Stuart.”
But Stuart refused to accept it. Despite being mostly bedridden, he held onto hope and pushed through grueling physical therapy sessions.
