At the Funeral of Her Husband, the Wife Comes Face to Face with a Woman Who Has Baby in Her Arms

Summoning all her strength, Nancy drove home and began rifling through Patrick’s things. But she found nothing that could lead her to his lover. She then moved to his office, searching through drawers, files, and cabinets, but it was all in vain.

Nancy let out a sigh. The baby was sound asleep in the living room. Grabbing the baby monitor, she made her way to Patrick’s car. She scoured under the seats, in the glove compartment, and in every nook and cranny of the vehicle, but still, she came up empty-handed.

As she sank into the driver’s seat, her eyes landed on the GPS. It suddenly dawned on her that Patrick was notoriously bad with directions and always relied on the navigator. If he had visited his mistress’ house, that’s where she might find her address.

Nancy quickly accessed the recent destinations on the navigator. The list wasn’t long, mostly consisting of familiar places: local restaurants, the hardware store, and Patrick’s office. But then, one address caught her eye – it appeared more frequently than the others, and she didn’t recognize it.

“This is it,” she muttered to herself. She carefully picked up the baby and drove to the address.
