Adult Star Angela White Opens Up About One Career Regret

Looking back on starting her career at 18, while Angela loves her profession, she admits there’s one aspect she’d change if she could do it over again. Her main concern wasn’t with the job itself but rather how it affected her personal life. Specifically, she said she’d handle conversations with her close ones differently. She elaborated, “I think I was just excited and so adamant that this is what I wanted to do with my life that I just told people it’s what I was doing. There was no moment for comments, questions or concerns.”

Apart from her work in adult entertainment, Angela completed an honors degree in gender studies in 2010. She wrote her thesis on six female porn stars. In her thesis, she talked about the oversimplified view of women in the industry, where they’re often labeled as either victims or empowered figures, ignoring the more complex reality. She said, “It’s always black or white — you’re the hapless victim, or you’re an empowered freedom fighter. And it’s just like, the world isn’t like that. It’s a spectrum.” She further added, “There are people like me where this is the perfect job for me. I feel empowered when I do it. I’m creating a career doing something that I love. And then there are people that are just in the industry because you know they have a debt and they will pay that off.”

Angela also pointed out a positive shift within the industry, especially with the rise of platforms like OnlyFans, which give performers more control over their content.
