Sean “Diddy” Combs has filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Courtney Burgess, his attorney Ariel Mitchell, and Nextstar Media Group (the parent company of NewsNation).
On Wednesday, Jan. 22, Combs’ attorneys filed the lawsuit in the Southern District of New York. They allege that the defendants deliberately fabricated and spread false claims about him for financial gain. Moreover, they claim that NewsNation broadcast these allegations without proper due diligence. The complaint states that these actions have caused Combs economic and reputational harm and have also affected his right to a fair trial with an impartial jury.
