A 10-year-old blind boy named Grayson Roberts from California has lost his home in Los Angeles’ Eaton fire. Grayson was born legally blind due to a chromosomal disorder and lived with his mother, Terica Roberts, and two brothers in Altadena.
On Tuesday, Jan. 7, as the fire spread, Terica told local news outlet KTLA 5 that the sky over their home turned red. When they stepped outside, they smelled smoke and could see flames in the nearby mountains. “At the rate the wind was blowing, I knew we had to go,” Terica recalled. They grabbed what they could before evacuating and found their home was gone the next day.
