An Indiana woman, 25-year-old Emily Hickox, took part in a white elephant gift exchange. Little did she know that it would result in her winning a prize worth $500,000.
On Christmas Day, which also happens to be her birthday, Hickox won the money by playing the Michigan Lottery’s Detroit Lions instant game during the holiday gift swap, as stated in a news release from the Michigan Lottery.
